We all need to have fun from time to time and this is my favorite drink. It has a divine smell and is a very good drink either in the morning at sunrise or to have fun at the end of a long day. The benefits of turmeric tea are infinite.

  • Rodent studies at the University of Texas indicate that curcumin inhibits the growth of skin cancer, melanoma, and also slows the spread of breast cancer to the lungs.
  • Researchers at the University of South Dakota have found that pretreatment with curcumin makes cancer cells more vulnerable to chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
  • Epidemiologists have speculated that turmeric, which is one of the daily curries consumed in India, can help explain the low rate of Alzheimer’s disease in this country. Among people aged 70 to 79, the rate is less than a quarter of that of the United States.
  • And at least one new study shows the value of curcumin for the treatment of arthritis. Since arthritis is so common and the results are so interesting, it’s worth a closer look.

Turmeric tea
ingredients:

1 cup of coconut milk (or almond)
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon turmeric
1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg
Pinch of cayenne pepper
Raw honey to taste

Instructions:

Put the coconut milk and spices in a saucepan and warm slowly over low heat. If you put it on high heat the coconut milk will be too thick. Pour, add the honey and enjoy.
